Breastfeeding

Breastfeeding is a wonderful process, but it’s also something you and your baby need to learn together. At Belle Vie, we believe it’s important that you’re well prepared before embarking on this adventure. That’s why we offer both information evenings and personalised support from our lactation consultant.

"Good preparation is half the battle; we’ll help you get off to a confident start."

Lactation Consultant Charina van den Hurk

Expert guidance
Whether you’re breastfeeding for the first time or already have some experience, every baby is unique. Our lactation consultant, Charina, is on hand to support you. During our special sessions, you’ll learn all about how the breast works and how to latch your baby on. You can also turn to Charina for personalised advice if things aren’t going quite as planned. Thanks to her expertise and calm approach, together we’ll ensure a pleasant breastfeeding journey that suits you and your baby.

Questions about breastfeeding

We recommend that you take the course if you are between the 30 and 34 weeks you’re pregnant. That way, the information will still be fresh in your mind when the baby is born. Your partner is also very welcome!

Send an email to lactatiekundigevdhurk@outlook.com including your name, date of birth and due date. Charina will then allocate you to one of the available dates (see below)

The meetings take place on Wednesday evenings at:

  • 13 May
  • 3 June
  • 1 July
  • 26 August
  • 7 October
  • 4 November
  • 2 December

(Please note: the event will go ahead provided there are at least 5 participants)
