Q: When is the best time to have a fun ultrasound scan?

That depends on what you’d like: Early fun scan: between 6 and 16 weeks.Gender reveal: from 15 weeks (if your bump is more prominent, we recommend from 16 weeks). 3D/4D scan: the best time is between 25 and 28 weeks of pregnancy.

At our main clinic in Rosmalen, we have a spacious ultrasound room where you can admire your baby on a large screen. Our certified ultrasound technicians take plenty of time to capture the most beautiful images.

Whether you’re coming just with your partner or would like to bring along grandparents or brothers and sisters (up to 4 extra people): everyone is welcome to join in the fun. We offer both black-and-white images (2D) and lifelike 3/4D scans, where you can already clearly see the contours of the baby’s face.

Sex determination (2D)

Are you curious to find out whether it’s a boy or a girl? From 15 weeks onwards, we can see this on a 2D scan. Would you rather keep it as a surprise? In that case, we’ll write it down on a special gender card for you to see later.

3D/4D Experience

Between 25 and 28 weeks, your baby will develop more body fat and their features will become beautifully defined. During this stage, we capture the most beautiful 3/4D images of those chubby cheeks or that cheeky little nose.

Book your ultrasound scan at the right time. Our assistant will be happy to help you choose the best time to suit your specific needs.

The preparations

Step 2

Just as with medical ultrasound scans: avoid using oil or body lotion on your tummy for two days beforehand to ensure the clearest possible image quality.

The moment

Step 3

Enjoy the images on the big screen. We always try to get the best possible view of your baby, depending on their position and the amniotic fluid.

Can’t see it? Don’t worry!

Step 4

Is your baby not quite in the right position, or is the sex still hidden? If so, you’re always welcome to come back once, free of charge, for another attempt.

Afterwards, you can have the footage saved straight away onto a USB stick (€6), so you can watch it a hundred times over at home.

How can I pay for the ultrasound scan?

At our practice, we only accept debit card payments. Unfortunately, we do not accept cash.

What if the baby doesn’t cooperate?

Sometimes a baby is hidden behind the placenta or has its hands covering its face. If we are unable to determine the sex or cannot get any good images, we will arrange another appointment free of charge for a quick retake.
